Good day everyone.
I believe the Thais have their own version of Shen Tar. These involved their gods like Pakawan, Haroman even Kong Peng (all spelling is phonetic).
There is distinct similarities between Haroman (Thai), Hanuman (Hindu) and Tai Seng (Chinese). All 3 were monkeys, excelled in fighting and were gods.
Back on the topic, many people believe that an amulet of one of the gods would give them extraordinary fighting abilities, especially if you knew the special chants to invoke the gods. Some gods would help you to fight, while some would protect your body, making you invulnerable.
Certain gods that specialise in fighting, such as Pakawan and Haroman, once invoked, would make the medium go into an extremely violent mood, with Haroman, he would not leave the body until blood has been drawn from all attackers.
Anyone with more info on this subject?
The Chinese version, I would believe would lean more towards the Mao Shan branch of Taoism. There were some temples in Singapore that were quite "powerful" in these sorts of things but have been demolished.
Eric, I believe Mao Shan Shu will still be active in Malaysia. I also believe the Thai amulets will be popular among the Chinese in Malaysia.
Also, anyone with more info on this?
Warmest regards, Tze Hou

Warmest regards, Tze Hou Tze Hou ni hao First of all, we must understand that "martial art" that we can get from the help of amulets, gods, spiritual being IS NOT THE SAME from the normal martial art that we learn and train. We used to "invite" Sun Go Kong, Na Cha, Kuan Kong, Pangeran Diponegoro, Si Pitung. When one of the spirits entered, the body will shaking heavily for a few seconds. Afterwards, the person whose body "borrowed" will talk and act as if the real gods or heroes themselves. The most difficult one is when Kuan Kong came. Usually only the person with bigger built can withstand. The face will turn redish, and the hand will keep on playing as if he got long beard. And will always ask for ciu (wine). When Sun Go Kong inside the body, the person will exactly like real monkey, jumping around here and there up and down. Asking the kun (stick) and will perform kungfu. usually this will last for maximum 20 - 30 minutes, depends on the durability of the person. You must seeing yourself to believe this. I was lucky enough to experienced this ritual annually. Cheers.

Good day Suhana.
Indeed I have experienced these supernatural happenings first hand. But I have to say, in no way disrespectfully, that there are also fakes in this area.
Warmest regards, Tze Hou

Anyone that is familiar with Hak Fu Muhn (Black Tiger) knows that we have an element called "Spirit Boxing" that has led to Black Tiger being labled occult.
It is one of the reasons Black Tiger has remained so rare and unseen to most outside of Hak Fu Muhn.
I normally don't talk about it much because it stirs up alot of trouble.
But it is a large part of Black Tiger in the advance stages.

Warmest regards, Tze Hou Tze Hou ni hao No, it's easy to check if they are real or just faking. You can read certain mantras, and the person will have the effect if they just make it up Or the more extreme way, just use the sharp weapon and mutilated the person. If the fake one, the weapon will penetrate his skin. So if we know how, there is always methods to check the fake. Same case in martial arts. Cheers.

Yes, they also "invite" the spirit of white tiger. And then the person can do movements as if the real tiger in action. After the show, the person will exhausted as if just finished doing marathon. But he will not remember what have happened before! But again, this kind of stuff IS NOT THE SAME AS the normal martial arts we do. Cheers.

This seems very interesting as I have never come across a style which incorporates the spiritual aspect on the level before. Care to elaborate more if possible? On another note, I know of a Tiger deity that devotees worship called Hor Ya or Tiger Tooth. It is a white tiger. Is this one and the same? Warmest regards, Tze Hou
