The one you PRACTICE. Suhana - I have to agree with this post. I think its the one you spend time, effort and energy on. Sitting on your backside is no way to become "the best."

Good day Suhana.
I do not believe there is such a thing as the best kung fu style as such. Rather, I believe it is what level any practitioner of any art has the determination to bring his/her achievements to. To pursue your art and endlessly refine it to suit yourself, you will create the best style for yourself.
The measure of kung fu is not how much you know. It is how well you know what you know.
Warmest regards, Tze Hou

I think it is better if a person can really use the art that they learn in reality situations say defending your self in the streets .

Thank you very much for all your valuable opinions. So there is no such thing as the "best" martial art style?
What if someone claims that his style is best/higher than other styles?
Cheers.

Good day Suhana.
I will not bother about such claims nor will I dispute it with him. The frog in the well thinks he sees the entire sky by looking up. Leave him in the well to be happy there.

Warmest regards, Tze Hou Tze Hou ni hao If someone claims his style is the best or superior style, means he practises frog (in the well) style? So in other word, THE BEST STYLE IS FROG (IN THE WELL) STYLE? Cheers.

Tze Hou ni hao ;D ;D ;D I still find it "interesting", because some individual so up to himself about the style he practices. In my humble experiences, this type of attitude fluorishes among the newbies. In isolated cases, one or two experienced with big ego and marketing talent individuals. Personally, to hear someone proclaims that his style is better, more advance, etc, is like hear the small kid says he got the biggest lolly or toy gun. ;D At the end of the day, I think you are correct. FROG (in the well) is THE BEST STYLE. Cheers.

Hi everybody,
The reason I am posting here can be found in the “Wing Chun History” thread.
Let me come out and say this; “There is NO BEST SYSTEM or BEST FIGHTER”.
To be the best:-
• You need to beat every single one out there. Can someone really say that? • To be the top system, you need to have already fully examined and tested all the systems in existence. Can anyone truly stand out and say this?
To say that what you are practicing is “better” is something you need to persuade those around you.
This is your perogative.
Me, I prefer to think that I am still learning. I want to hear how others train and their methodologies of fighting.
“Best” or not, there is still something to be learned from all.
Thank you.
