The founding of Wu ZU Quan International Federation was finally realize in 1983 after pains taking efforts by original surviving masters of NCK spearheaded by the late Sifu Lo Kin Hui. Unfortunately the success of Losien efforts was to be shadowed & almost ruin by his very own senior students who have other plans of selling out Kong Han ngo cho kun to wu shu. If those seperatist had not created a divide in Kong Han, Kong Han I believe, would have become a very succesful institution more than ever

"THE Philippine team made a smashing performance in the recent first World Traditional Wushu Festival in Zheng Zhou City, Hunan province, China, by winning 17medals, including five golds. Master Henri Lo of theKong Han Martial Arts Club led the RP charge bycapturing two gold medals in the event which lured 2,3000 athletes from more than 60 countries. The other gold winners were Master William Soon of Ling Nam Athletic Club, Master Lou Mei Cheng of Mei Cheng Shaolin Kung Fu and the doubles team of Lester Pimentel and Richard Ng. Soon, Cheng and Ng also bagged a silver medal each. The other medalists were Thomas Pradel (two silvers), Henry Sy (one silver and one bronze), Richard Haw (one silver and one bronze), Ana Tongco (two bronzes), and Vincent Borromeo and the doubles squad of Josephine Lim and Ma. Lourdes Chan, one bronze each. RP delegation leader Alvin Tailian praised the RP team composed mostly of masters from different local martial arts clubs for its remarkable showing. " This from Philippines sport news. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This is very good news, traditional chinese martial art is now being recognize & supported by the chinese goverment. I hope that this will be the beginning of seeing more of this kind of competition. TCMA is on the march. I believe the Wu Zu Quan Federation played a very important role in getting this jump started. Now, we have every more reason & motivation to train & help propagate ngo cho kun ( wu zu quan ). Richard Haw, good job.

I wish this year's wuzuquan competition was held in November not December near X-mass. It doesn't give me enough time to tour China. I was originally planing to spend about 2 weeks in Quanzhou, Xiamen & Beijing. My small shopping list once I get to Quan Zhou will be: 1. boxing gloves, boxing gloves here cost cda$90.00/pr, maybe in China its half the price? 2. sai ( good quality ) one that can stand heavy impact 3. some good chinese music mandarin & hokkian. 4. "tien chi" 5. kung fu uniform, short sleeves dark blue color 6. double hook 7. carbon steel chinese imperial sword. Hey, Pit if you don't mind can you be my tour guide in Quan zhou? ;D
