Hi Suhana,
No, I don't.
But doesn't really matter to me - anyone who visit us is a guest.
If the guest refuses to id himself - that is not respecting house rules.
Still, we got nothing to hide - anyone can come and make any kind of statements - we stand our ground that's all.
Always been my style and my Sifu's.
Being Chinese Wu Lin Zi Sun, we must stand tall.
;D ;D ;D

While bragging isn't necessary, there is nothing to hide if one is dignified and skillful; he is a master of his arts. Anything closed will be open and anything hidden will be revealed.

I've met many frauds in Europe especially in the Arnis-Silat circles. Can't really give names because this is public forum. Most peoples there don't have a clue on Silat and Arnis.
One "grandmaster" teaches fake harimau silat (I've been in Sumatra and seen the difference). This master mixes vodoo practices with silat (he lived in Cuba for a while), chicken are often sacrificed at the start of a class and spirit of dead warriors invoked to possess students....and he pretends being a devout muslim...
Another one is from Sri Lanka but pretends being Indonesian. He is now 7th dan in a malaysian system he studied occasionaly for a few years during summer vacations. His students never spare because their techniques are too dangerous....Once he faked being able to catch bullets with his teeths: he asked a student to shoot him (a fake bullet was in a gun) while he already had a real bullet in his mouth... .... The list goes on, I don't even talk about filipino Arnis ans Escrima.

This is how often SEA martial arts are promoted in the west. It really makes me sick to see what is happening with silat and filipino martial arts.
Now you have peoples who go to SEA to train a few weeks and return to their country with master, grandmaster titles...some even become doctors in filipino martial arts, professors, datus (traditional filipino tribal leader!, imagine an american or german datu!) or even sultan....

Kriss ni hao Maybe one day, when there are so many "masters", "and other self-praised titles", the people without any title will be something "special"

Suhana, You are right, although sometimes I feel like the rats are attracted to waste and why should I care if it smells in the sewer? The other part of the problem is who wants to get in a mud flinging contest with a monkey? They don't seem to mind getting dirty. The monkeys are many in North America. Eric ni hao Of course we don't have to be kungfu cops. I just want to alert everyone to be more cautious. If you see and know something is wrong, but you just keep quite or pretend not to know, morally you are also wrong. You can hide behind the "It's not my business" lines, but still you are morally and ethically incorrect. Cheers.
