Hello;
Just a quick, before-bed observation:
It seems to me that the current "mixed martial arts" currently being taught have somewhat solidified into a distinct art. The art consisting of boxing, Muay Thai, BJJ, and a few other grappling and striking arts.
My question:
How much change should we expect to see in the MMA world within the next ten years? Are there any "new" arts going to spring up and take us by storm?

Da jia hao I believe as long as there are individuals with ambitions to become "founder" of the style, there will be the so called "new style" keep on coming out. Cheers.

The new mma that are coming out have no traditional, cultural or spiritual roots, they are mostly base on fighting & commercialism.
I don't think it is a matter of having new mma because those so called "new" are not actually new they just change the names of traditional form & mix it with other forms without any fraternal link to the original founders of martial arts.
These new mma will only last as long as they can keep coming up with new gimmicks to keep people interested.

Da jia ni men hao It's more a fad. Come and go in a flash. Cheers. as long as there are no forearm blockings, neutralizing, deflecting, or emphasizing of defending of opponents attack using your own bridge forearm..... for me, it is no longer called martial arts, instead it is a simple form of commercialized martial arts......
