I asked because my student teach in San Diego, very close to Steve Martin's studio. In fact they are almost neighbours (Taoist Sanctuary).
Do you teach Lung Ying in Dayton? Can you tell us more about yuor branch of Lung Ying? Did you finish the system....
Warm regards,
Evert.

We have three forms in our curriculum, my Sifu told it is old Siu lam Wing (Yong) Chun. One of the three forms is a one armed form (left handed). A rather short version around 45 postures. The most important form is known as Cheung Duen Kiu/ Kuen or Long Short Bridge. If you would face that form you will be shocked to see it, clearly Wing Chun, but a different choreography. The flavor/ taste is there, but the patterns are different. The third forms focus more on a variety of both hand patterns and some kicks. I would say that the Siu lam patterns are recognized easier.
One of my Sidaai did have a lot of experience in Yip Man Wing Chuna and our version. He almost finish a studyguide about the Cheung Duen Kuen/ Kiu. I am not sure if he still visits this forum, his colleague certainly does. Maybe he will jump in one time and can start conversation with you?
It is a system that I love to do, great power, and close to Fukien Boxing......
Regards,
Evert.
