Pit, certain techniques look a little Lohan Shou. But most of the times, Tong Bei players are swinging their arms with both fists and palms. The forms that I have seen have them doing both long and short swings. When I say long, I really mean loooong. Very loose, very fast and very extended. When they retract, they slap themselves - sort of to check the returning jin. I don't really know much about their principles - got a couple of books on Tong Bei but written in old-style Mandarin. Need a decoder device to make head or tail.hehehe ;D ;D ;D

Hi;
Tong Bei is my favorite, too.
There are 5 basic palm methods.
Yes, there are many old poems and Quan Jing.
I used to recite them at heart. They can be songs, too.
The methods, principles and apps are in rythme.
My book has good info in English.
Shuai.
Pai.
Zuan,
Pi,
Zang.
Yes, the old Chinese are difficult to read and understand.
