Announcement.
To all members and guests,
This forum is formed with one purpose and one purpose only; the open exchange of martial arts knowledge, experiences and even conjectures pertaining to history, principles etc.
My personal primary reason is to present and share the vast amount of materials, amassed over the years, with all those who are inclined.
I know many of you have the same motivation.
It is my own small way of preserving the great traditions of Chinese Kung Fu. Much of my materials are given to me by Sifus and seniors of various different sects of Kung Fu.
To bring them to my grave is not something I am planning to do.
However, I am beginning to detect some “misdemeanors” that are upsetting the normal functioning of the forum.
As the administrator, I am required to maintain the desirable grounds for meaningful sharing. With that, I am restricting all postings and starting of new threads to signed-up members only.
Guests are still able to view but not participate.
Thank you.
Eric Ling

Eric ni hao Good move and thumb up for you. Every forum has it's own "jia fa" or "house rules." I am sure every honest and good participants will follow the rules. And as the host, you have every right to make sure that everyone respect and "play" according the "house rules." Once again, thumb up for you. Cheers.

Hi Suhana,
Nin Hao.
As much as I hate rules and regulations, I also believe that "total" freedom could lead to anarchy.
This forum is about sharing. Time will show what I mean. I want to put a lot of the old stuff given to me by seniors and elders for all to partake, so to speak.
I got no time to waste with clowns, jokers, wannabes and fakes.
And I am not going to be nice with these mutants. I don't believe in being politically right. These lowlifes can all go to hell for all I care!
If need be, I will turn this into a members only forum like Pit suggested.
We, collectively, will decide who to allow in.
This forum must never be tainted by the twisted few.
For months , Evert/Martin Watts and I were just exchanging emails to share our journies.
I was the one who decided to open up and let more in.
If required, I will be the one to shut the doors again.
Only difference is, this time many of you will be invited.
TRADITIONAL CHINESE KUNG FU MUST NEVER DIE - IT IS UP TO US NOW!!!

Eric ni hao At this stage, I don't think you need to be that extreme by closing the forum. Don't let one or two idiot clowns distract this forum's missions.
Few "remainders" to the person, if still "deaf and naughty", give him a slap in the wrist. If still no avail, just kick him out from your house/forum. Cheers.

This is a message to all members. Lately we have been infested with scumbags who just simply cannot understand that this forum is strictly for business. Not some playground for their idiotic shenanigans. I don’t have the time or the mood to deal with these sh*theads. So I am going to ask all of you for your view on my plan. What if I turn this into a password protected discussion forum? I am not the least bit concerned with just some of us discussing and sharing. This forum was never meant to be for me to become “famous”. I never once promoted it in any way. I wanted a place where we can exchange knowledge freely without having to deal with numbskulls. Let me know what you think. If this doesn’t curb the problem – I will go back to communicating via emails only. This way I can control who get to access the materials. I got absolutely nothing to lose.

I agree with passwording the forum.
This forum is an excellent source of information and fellowship. I'm happy to be a part of it.

It's unfortunate that guests cannot post, and be genuine in their posts. I agree with Eric on his choice to disable postings from guests.
I think this is a great forum and very knowledgeable members here in their respective styles.
I'm learning a lot and looking forward to learning more.

I would have no problem with this whole forum being password protected, with an "application" required. other sites like wingchunkuen.com do this. I want to exchange ideas, not wade through vanity postings by posers. just my strong opinion

Gentlemen,
Thank you all for your words of support.
Before anyone starts calling me dictatorial, I am going to leave things status-quo for a while longer.
Hopefully, whoever behind all the pranks sees now that this forum is wholly about swapping knowledge – nothing more nothing less. Of course, we also hope to become friends along the way. This is the only “reward” I am seeking.
To quote Evert; a warm and conducive place to say anything we want without upsetting or infuriating anyone. The type that Evert, Martin Watts and I have been relishing all these months.
Martial Arts are about joy and fulfillment. This forum, I hope, adds spice to your journey and makes your journey a little less solitary.
So to those here for the wrong reasons, consider this:-
If you persist on causing disorder, you will be shut out – no discussion there.
And if you cannot control yourself, go seek some help. Do this as a favor to yourself and the rest of the world.
Thank you.
