I've been training a group of teenagers for almost 2yrs (July 05 will be the exact date), but only started teaching them the lion dance 2 wks ago. We had our debut performance on the 26th January for Australia Day. Here's a link to our school website, with photos and a video clip included: www.lungying.envy.nu/updates.html Apologies in advance if you can't d/l the video, because my webspace only allows a 300mb transfer per month. But if u would like to see the clip, feel free to contact me at triskellin@yahoo.com In addition to the other 3 performances I put on the site, we're also doing 2 shows for an 'Asian Nights Promotion' for a major shopping centre in Sydney. I'll post more photos (and hopefully clips) over the next month.

Dear Triskellin,
Very nice to observe the clip, the practitioners love to play it, some acrobatics and an experience they never forget in their life. Good work! I would say, let many practitioners play with it and so get a pievce of traditional arts in their map. Love to see some basic Dragon exercises from the children class. Children are pure and enthusiastic.
Kindest regards,
Evert

Hi nataraya,
the boys that I teach are 16yrs old, so i don't know if they classify as 'children'. I still call them the 'boys' though, hehe. I have taken some footage of our class training and forms, etc, but i don't have enough webspace to put them on. they are huge files 60mb to over 400mb+ i would be happy to share some clips, so i'll re-capture some smaller footage.

Triskellin,
Russ Smith is the man with lots of expertise in audio & video material. In the near future he might become a central ax in storing multimedia files. My advise is to contact him and discuss what he can do for you. Advising, storing,..........
My son is 16, and he (easily) pass my height and weight. So I understand your words, still they are children in which your lessons are EVEN more important. The seed you plant, will stay the rest of their life. If you do your task well, then they will face Traditional arts for the rest of their life too.
Take care,
Evert.
