Please Please Please no more talks about cross-dressing and Micheal Jackson or Boy George. Now Zhang Zi Yi and Shu Qi - I am okay. But my all time fav is Chen Chen - anybody remember her? Guess not - you guys sound too young. Eric ni hao Chen Chen, of course I remember. And also Hu Chin , the one with big mole Cheers.

Fatman ni hao The answer to your curiosity why there is a difference is simple and easy. Just observe in the family, among brothers or sisters they are also not the same (characters and the way doing things). And yet they are from the same parent. Cheers. I understand the reasons for differences in the way the art is practiced. What I am curious about is how there came to be more than one history for the art. It is only a curiosity, nothing more.

Hi, Seems like a friendly group forming here. I even recognize a few names from other forums. I thought I'd take the opportunity to introduce myself. My nickname was "count" even before the internet became popular or forums of this sort. My name is really Jeff but call me whatever (loaded} suits you. I train baguazhang in Los Angeles for the past 10 years or so. I also have some background in Tai Chi Chuan, Chang Chuan, Tang Lang, and Shuai Chaio with my current teacher since 1983. Before that I had around 8 years Northern Shaolin and a couple of years in my first school learning Lama Crane. I guess you could call me a lifer by now. I hope to see some informative and interesting discussions here. Some of the other forums go down hill as membership grows. Let's hope this one takes more fertile root.
