My name is Cody Stephens, I study Isshinryu Karate in El Dorado, Arkansas. I've practiced this art for the last four years. Previous to that, I studied ATA for *gag* five years, as well as real TKD for two years under an independent instructor.
Currently, I'm a certified fitness trainer through the ISSA, and a student at Southern Arkansas University going for a Bachelor's in Exercise Science.

Hi Suhana,
Nin Hao,
A very warm welcome to you.
Thank you for your participation.
With your profound knowledge of NCK, I think you should moderate in this board.

Eric ni hao Please don't say that. I am just a practitioner, not much not less. To be a moderator one must have a broad knowledge. I am just a lifetime student of the art. But if it's ok with you, I will find someone to assist you in that matter. Cheers.

Dear gentlemen,
I am a martial artist for a while now, a little bit older then the "Man from Kuching".
Currently exploring the deeper layers (historical & philosophical) systems that I have being learned in the past. This must be seen in the direction of the capital Yong Chun. This is not easy, but with the help of some knowledgable practitiners, I see more light in the Darkness.
I am afraid that my contribution will be very limited, surely when it is about specific Fukien theme's. Okay. we will see.
Systems that we are practicing in my branch are: Southern Flower Boxing, Siu Lam Wing Chun Kuen, Saam Tzien's younger bronger Tit Sin Kuen, Southern Swimming Dragon Pa Kwa,......
I hope that this forum will be a constructive one, with mainly a positive direction. Think of the Dragon, and see that it has only one focus, to catch that Pearl. Status and power are false illusions, and I truly hope that they are NOT seen here.
Warm regards,

Hi, I am Fatman. I prefer to remain anonymous, however many of the other NCK practitioners here will know me from other forums as joedoe. I have practiced Ngor Chor Kun for 17 years under the Chee Kim Thong Lineage. And after all that training I am still fat!
Eric, you are now living in the town where I was born. I have heard it has changed a lot over the years - last time I was there was in 1982 and I have been told it is very different even since then.

Hi Nataraya,
Having tasted the “depth” of your knowledge, I must comment that many would drown if they tag along too closely. But it is this depth that we must “recklessly” seek – all answers can be found at the bottom.
Sir, this forum is not “Fukien-centric”. The intimate relationship between Fukien and Canton CMA is long disregarded. Too long.
With your encyclopedic knowledge of Canton CMA, you are the perfect bridge.
Looking forward to crossing that bridge with you.
Thank you.

Can't really say I detect any changes in Kuching - only been here for 2+ years. Do you miss your "Laksa & Kolo Mee" ? Well, they are building plently of "condo" style housings in the BDC and Kota Samarahan area - you might find these new. There is a bridge linking Petra Jaya and Kuching - that's new. The bridge can be found at the Bintawa area. Well back to kung fu - I was told that your stream of NCK is comparatively "softer" - true ? Would love to see your stuff. I do "soft crane" and Tai Chor - so I guess we are somewhat related. Thnks.

No, don't miss the laksa and kolo mee because my mother makes it for me when I ask her to I have never had the pleasure of working out with anyone from the other lineages, but from what I have seen of video footage yes, our lineage practices our Ngor Chor a bit softer than the others. I believe that is because our Sigung trained in several other arts before settling on Ngor Chor, and those arts influenced his Ngor Chor. So the principles are the same, just the execution is different.
