I will try to post as many different Chin-Na as possible from CFK - remember all techniques are culled from original 72 Chin Na methods - 36 big and 36 small.
You might find your answer to your question. These Chin Na techniques are, at least, a couple of thousand years old.

The Chin Na I know (from Hung Gar and CLF) is generally a technique in a set. There is some I learned from my Sigung and my Sifu and some I just kind of picked up along the way. I have actually learned some techniques that actually work pretty well from watching MA movies.
If, as some have speculated, that Pan Nam WC retains more of the flavor of early WC, and if WC is an offspring of White Crane then perhaps that may explain why Eric sees Pan Nam WC as coming across very White Crane.
