Konghan ni hao Hope he will strong enough to trains in Ngo Cho. Cheers. As long as he have patience and desire to learn, I see him to become a good NCKer. The only thing is, he is going to be college next year so he might become more busy with school. I am feeling more skillful, I want to test my skill against san shou but must be in my age group and weight group

It's hard to find a good and qualified teacher, but it is harder to get a good and qualified student Pardon me of saying this, but you have to be careful and make sure the different between "feeling more skillful" and "being more skillful." Cheers.

After doing several weapon routines over and over ( pole, broadsword, horse cutting knife, double tiger hook and double sai) I found out that there is a big difference from weight training and weilding weapons. I have been doing many push ups and some weights regularly, but after I did all my weapon forms for 45 minutes, the next day my shoulder and colar bone sore sooo much it really kind'd remind me that I am getting old and make me wonder too why I continue to train so hard?

We are using the soft muscle fibers and more negative resistance for weapons. It is a good complimentary training to weight.
The question becomes "Does weight training really add value to MA training?"
I think the answer is "yes" although it is more limited than what most people think.
You are practicing hard because you love doing it ;D.
If you are doing it as a bridge for another goal, you will get burnt out soon.
My academic professor keeps telling me this: "The most important thing to be productive in life is stamina."
He means it in a broader sense; to be able to have the continuality over a long period of time.
