I think speed will win over power just look what happened in Dragon ball Z ;D when trunks fights cell , He’s stronger then cell but 2 slow Also I think that it depends on size of a person obviously bigger people would be stronger but slower, while smaller would be weaker but faster. Another thing why speed in my opinion is more imprtant becuase as you start learning kungfu, power increases faster then speed so its harder to gain speed then power. Speed is also both offensive and defensive, while power mostly offensive. Please share your formulae, as I took alonger time to built my powess than my speed. On a general P.O.V. Bulk have advantage but not in absolute term to a trained smaller MA My sifu was at his peak 90kg & his powess & speed still amazes me......long after he is gone.... In my opinion" Offensive is also one of the best defensive" I know of smaller ppl who can generate enough power & extraordinary speed to demolish marble slab.....& also penetrate the traditional bamboo body guard & render his opponent unconcious with foam in his mouth

Hi brothers and sisters. ;D
While Speed has a clear definition in all aspect, power is actually something that isn't as clear defined. So: "What do you think is actually the definition of power?"
Body weight? Explosiveness? Muscle strength? Strength to Push/Pull? Chi?
kind regards, Marco

Chi = internal power. Explosiveness = chi and muscle strength. All this three = positive speed and power.

The ability to create peak energy in a short duration. That's why a slow and heavy weight lifting will not help you much to strike harder. With this kind of lift, you train your muscles to generate peak energy in a relatively longer duration.

Through the practice of Ngo Ki, defense can be offense. Blocks and parries can turn to offense. A quick punch from a hard fist.
